I love clarified butter and it’s simple to make. It’s a necessary ingredient for Hollandaise sauce. Drizzle some over hashbrowns while they are frying to give them a flavor boost. It has a higher smoke point than plain butter and so can be used when browning meats, and nothing browns like butter.
Though clarified butter is easy to make, sometimes you are in a mad rush after work and just don’t have the extra time to make it.
What About Ghee?
Good News: For our purposes they are exactly the same thing. The process we use at home to make clarified butter is exactly the same as is used to make ghee. You can even order ghee from Amazon.
